    Going up a gauge

I'm happy I did! I noticed the heavier set has a better "feel" on my picking/strumming hand. I can dig in a lot better since the strings are a little stiffer

    Think outside the box

To me it looks like someone added some sort of wood block to cover up a hole next to the bridge?

What have you purchased guitar-related in the last 48 hours?

I bought a set of acoustic strings and a replacement pack of Maintain Humidipak's! I replace the Humidipak's every 5 or 6 months, so I should be good for the winter.

Doing your First Setup on your First Guitar (Stratocaster or S Style) Part I

Floyd's aren't as bad as people say they are! I learned how to work on them really quickly from watching YouTube videos. The only hassle with them is when a string breaks and you gotta replace the whole set, which takes longer than a hard tail. Once you make all the necessary adjustments, when...

Godsmack is great! Disturbed has one or two songs I don't mind. As for Nickelback, Chad Kroeger has a cool Gibson Explorer 7 string that he plays which Gibson doesn't offer in their lineup. As for Creed, they are a guilty pleasure of mine lol! CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHUH!

    Tuner bushings lifting out slightly

I wrapped the bushings in the aluminum tape I had first to see if it would work, and it did! They bushings stay in tight and the tape didn't bunch up going in. But, the next time I change the strings, I will add some glue to ensure they stay for good.

    Going up a gauge

I like 9's on my electrics. I don't like working harder than I have to especially with fast bend runs. We all have our own preferences!

    Going up a gauge

I recently changed the string gauge on my acoustic from 11-52 to 12-53 and I'm happy I did. At first it was a little harder to play but over the past few days they feel no different than the custom lights. They have much more bass to them and aren't as brash sounding (I use 80/20's primarily)...
