Wraparound bridges ... let's start over and stay focused.

That all sounds reasonable and possibly correct. I don't play my LP types with glued in neck very much. Mind you, I am not complaining at all, I like the tone of the Jrs. I play with a lot of gain due to what I am playing so I like the little bit more mid focused sound. Most of us don't...

    College courses as mental floss

I tried this a few years ago and all of a sudden, my brain said "yah know, we dropped out of college for a reason...." and I dropped out. I have a lot more time now, though, so maybe I should.

The case of the odd fret sprout.........

Oh, also, I have not tried to correct the fret sprout as of yet. I figured I would let it hang here on my wall a while before I address it. Giving it some time to acclimate to my room. The fret sprout seems to be gradually unsprouting for the most part just due to having the fingerboard...

The case of the odd fret sprout.........

The guitar that I got for the equivalent of the money required to buy a few lunches appears to basically never have been played looked like a good deal, I had the fine pawnshop gentleman put the thing in my hands..... I was pretty pleased with how it felt, but it had loads of fret...

    Tuner bushings lifting out slightly

I found a recommendation online to use water thin super glue to harden the wood that holds in the inserts for a wraparound bridge/tailpiece and it worked very well. It hardens the wood without building up too much and making the hole smaller.

Wraparound bridges ... let's start over and stay focused.

When reading anything I post it will usually allow for the fact that I could be wrong. That's why I post. To reiterate: I generally dismiss claims that small differences make an audible difference. Despite my feelings that most changes don't audibly change anything, I now have 3 Epi Jr and...

    Wraparound

Dramatic. Two different terms that are used for two different things. I used an appropriate term, some apparently are not familiar with those terms but that did not stop them from posting.

    Wraparound

Well, when a person starts a discussion regarding a particular piece of equipment, it is usually to get impressions, opinions, and experiences of other players. If we can't stay on topic, there is little or no information exchanged.

    Wraparound

This thread is about WRAPAROUND TAILPIECES THAT FUNCTION AS A BRIDGE. This is not a thread about "top wrap" of stop tailpieces.

    Wraparound

I don't have the cash to get a Gibson Jr. I think it's a testament to Jrs and Specials that Gibson can make reissues and charge a lot and still sell a bunch of them. The glued in neck Jrs in the Epiphone line is just a white Billy Joe model and a Tobacco Burst. Pretty sure they keep TV Yellow...

    Wraparound

My pondering was regarding THE ONLY AND ONE, BELOVED BY PEOPLE THAT DIG Jrs and Specials and similar that have a single piece bridge. Hence my use of the word wraparound.

    80/20 or Phosphor Bronze

I can never remember which one I don't like between those two.

    Wraparound

I am not a big believer in all the minute changes equal different tone. From my perspective, there is little or no change in most guitars with hardware pieces changed out. Obviously, pickups can totally change the sound of a guitar but what else.... It could just be my imagination but to me...

    Greetings and Salutations!!!

One part of this story is very easy: When all the stuff went down with Chris, and the denizens of TR had been threatening and threatened simultaneously I asked that my account be deleted. There were some nice people there, but there is some kind of internal pecking order and competition that...
